Welcome to Naval Domination

In the 2017 the moon is shattered in a cataclysmic event, rock and magma spew into the earth’s atmosphere, raising global temperature, and reforming the continents. It is now late in the 21st century. Few have survived. The restoration begins on the sprawling archipelagos that now cover the earth, people are forced to live on off the bounty of the sea.

Welcome my young captains. Your crew have entrusted you with their safety, well-being, and glory! In this new world you have entered, water and naval superiority are everything. In this Manual, I will share with you words of wisdom, before you begin your exploration and conquest of this harsh world. Please note that this manual only covers "Classic ND." The "New World" changes too frequently to make writing a manual practical at this time.

First and foremost, understand that Naval Domination is a turn based strategy game. Each "tick" occurs every hour at the hour. The world here is “constantly” changing as the rulers who watch over the world add more features If you have an idea to add to Naval Domination, please inform the rulers by using the ideas forum.

As this world is ever changing, bugs appear out of nowhere, mainly to torment the rulers of this world. If you ever find a bug in this world, or something that should not be, make sure to notify the rulers immediately in the bugs forum. The rulers frown on abusing bugs for your own personal gain, and are quick to anger if you do so.

Starting out you are given rich amounts of resources and crew to begin your exploration. Taking what you have you need to grow and flourish like all the other Captains on this world. Not to worry though, for you will be able to trade for things that you need either by the trading post. You must build structures so you can produce resources on your own. To do this, attack other captains for more territory and then build on that territory. On each "tick" (which I mentioned earlier) your buildings will produce resources for you.

Here is a list of the resources:

  • Money Money: Used to buy almost anything. Also required to explore land or ocean. Each building will subtract one unit of money every turn.
  • Metal Metal: Required to build military units and buildings.
  • Food Food: Needed to feed crew.
  • Crew Crew: These are required to employ military units. They also explore land.
  • Score Score: This is how the rankings pages are generated. Score counts all aspects of your account. To win you must have the highest score at the end of the month.

Once you have established yourself, ships are needed for attacking and defence of your new empire. Always keep a lookout for dormant empires for they can be quickly absorbed to make you grow stronger. Keep in mind the forces of unknown frown on the attacking of empires smaller than you unless they attack you first.

The diplomats have started to arrive so before long the cooperative of empires will begin. More allies and enemies will be formed through diplomatic relations. For how this will work will be determined by the silver tongue and the pistol behind the back.

This is an unproven world and can be very harsh at times; good luck to you all for we all shall meet again across the vastness of this world of water.

Accounts which have not been active for five days are marked inactive, and will soon be removed. Make sure to mark vacation mode in your preferences if you will be gone for five days or more!
