Building your Land
Buildings are a neccessary aspect of this game. Buildings help you produce resources. They will activate on the hour, every hour. For example, if you have a building that produces one food, it will add one food to your available resources every hour, even if you are not logged on. It is important to have some of every type of building, so you do not run out of resources. If you do run out of resources, and need info on how to repair your account, click here.

Note: Each building that is built will subtract one unit of money from your coffers every turn (unless you are broke).

To create buildings, choose the buildings option on the sidebar. Enter in the number of each building you wish to build, and then choose the build button. A message will appear if you do not have enough land, ocean, or resources to complete the request. For information on exploring land, click here. The effects of each of the buildings are summarized below:

Kelp Farms:
These require 10 gold and 40 metal, plus one unit of ocean, the building time is 1 tick. They will produce 4 food for you hourly.

Iron Mines:
These require 100 gold, 70 metal and 150 food, plus one unit of land. The building time is 2 ticks. They will produce 8 metal for you hourly.

Gold Mines:
These require 700 gold, 10 metal and 50 food, plus one unit of land. The bulding time is 2 ticks. They will produce 39 gold for you hourly.

Arcology:
These require 250 gold, 50 metal and 250 food, plus one unit of ocean. The building time is 3 ticks. They will increase the maximum population by 600 for each one you build. For more information on maintaining a population, click here.

To find out how many of each building you have, and how long it will take until buildings that are being built are ready, choose Build Summary on the sidebar, and look in the appropriate rows in the grid. Any number listed under 1 means it will be ready in 1 hour, under 2 means it will be ready in two hours, etc., etc...
